<br />"f' <br /> <br />.. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />" <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />ORDINANCE NO. 1396 <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE FINDING THAT THE TERRITORY COMPRISING THE SPENWICK <br />PLACE MUNICIPAL UTILITY DISTRICT HAS BEEN FINALLY ANNEXED TO <br />THE CITY OF LA PORTE; DISSOLVING THE LEGAL EXISTENCE OF THE <br />SPENWICK PLACE MUNICIPAL UTILITY DISTRICT AT THE CLOSE OF <br />BUSINESS ON JANUARY 31, 1984; FINDING COMPLIANCE WITH THE OPEN <br />MEETINGS LAW; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE HEREOF. <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LA PORTE: <br /> <br />Section 1. The City Council of the City of La Porte hereby <br /> <br />finds, determines, and declares that the City of La Porte has <br />~ heretofore, by passage of its Ordinance No. 1393 on December 28, <br />1983, finally annexed to the City of La Porte, all of the <br /> <br />territory comprising <br /> <br />the Spenwick Place Municipal Utility <br /> <br />District. <br /> <br />Section 2. The City Council of the City of La Porte hereby <br /> <br />dissolves the corporate existence of the Spenwick Place Munici- <br /> <br />pal utili ty District, effective at the close of business on <br />January 31, 1984. The City of La Porte shall assume all assets, <br /> <br />and all legal liabilities, of the Spenwick Place Municipal <br /> <br />Utiltiy District, effective February 1, 1984. <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />Section 3. The City Council officially finds, determines, <br /> <br />recites and declares that a sufficient written notice of the <br /> <br />da te, hour, place and subject of this meeting of the City <br /> <br />Council was posted at a place convenient to the public at the <br /> <br />City Hall o:f the City for the time required by law preceding <br /> <br />this meeting, as required by the Open Meetings Law, Article <br />6252-17, Texas Revised Civil Statutes Annotated; and that this <br /> <br />meeting has been open to the public as required by law at all <br />times during which this ordinance and the subject matter thereof <br />has been discussed, considered and formally acted upon. The <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />City Council further ratifies, approves and confirms such <br />written notice and the contents and posting hereof. <br />
