'~2 <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE FIXING THE COMPENSATION OF THE CITY CLERK <br />OF THE CITY OF LA PORTE; PROVIDING WHEN SUCH COMPENSATION SHALL <br />BE PAID AND THAT SUCH COMPENSATION SHALL BE PAID OUT OF THE GEN- <br />ERAL FUND OF THE CITY; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES AND PARTS OF OR- <br />DINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LA <br />PORTE, HARRIS COUNTY, TEXAS: ' <br /> <br />Section l. That the City Clerk shall receive, as his <br />compensation during hie term: of office, the sum of Two Hundred <br />Seventy-five Dollars ($275.00) per month from and after May 1, <br />1947; that such compendation shall be paid to the City Clerk by <br />warrant drawn on the General Funds of the City of La Porte in <br />semi-monthly installments on or after the first and fifteenth <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />days of each calendar month, unless othe~,ise directed from time <br /> <br />to time by the City Commission. <br />Section 2. That all Ordinances and resolutions and parts <br />of Ordinances and/or resolutions heretofore passed, whioh are in <br /> <br />conflict herewith, are hereby repealed by this Ordinance. <br />Section 3. That if any section or part of a section, <br /> <br />or one or more sections of this Ordinance be declared to be in- <br /> <br />valid, such shall not affeot the validity of the remaining parts <br /> <br />hereof. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Section.4.
