BE PAID A~D THAT SUCH COJ.'lPENS!\TION <br />SHALL BE PAID OUT OF THE GENERAL FUNDS OF THE CITY; REPEALING <br />ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HERE'tlITH AND <br />DECLARING AH D1ERGENCY. <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF <br />LA PORTE, HARRIS COUNTY, TEXAS: <br /> <br />Section 1. That the Mayor of the City of La Porte <br />'shal1 receive, as his compensation during his term of office, <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br />the sum of One Hundred Dollars ($100.00) per month from and <br />after the 15th day of April, 1947. <br />Section 2. That the two Commissioners of the City of <br />La Porte shall receive, as their compensation during their term <br />of office, the sum of Fifty Dollars ($50.00) per month from and <br />after the 15th day of April, 1947. <br />Section 3. That all compensation provided in this Or- ' <br /> <br />dinance shall be paid to the proper persons, by warrant drawn on <br />the general .funds of the City of La Porte, on or after the first <br /> <br />day of each montll .following that for which such compensation may <br />be due, unless otherwise directed from time to time by the City <br /> <br />Commission. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Section 4. That all Ordinances and resolutions and <br />parts of Ordinances and/or resolutions heretofore passed, which <br />are in conflict herewith, are hereby repealed by this Ordinance. <br />Section 5. That if any section or part of a section, <br />or one or more sections of this Ordinance be declared to be in- <br /> <br />valid such shall not affect the validity of the remaining parts <br />hereof. <br /> <br />Section 6. That an emergency exists constitu~ing an <br /> <br />imperative publiC necessity that the rule requiri~g Ordinances <br />to be read at three several meetings be suspended and this Or- <br />dinance take effect and be in force from and after its passage <br /> <br />and approval, and it is so ordained. <br />Passed and approved this the <br /> <br /> <br />, <br /> <br />A.
