<br />" <br /> <br />- <br /> <br />/,-' -........... <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />,,...--....... <br /> <br />~e <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />386 <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE ENLARGmG AND EXTENDING THE BOUNDARY LIMITS OF THE <br />CITY OF LA PORTE, TEXAS, AND ANNEXING ADDrrIONAL ADJACENT TERRI.. <br />TORY TO SAID CITY 0 <br /> <br />BE IT ORm.INED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LA PORTE 0 <br /> <br />SECTION ONE: That the boundary lines of the City of La Porte. Texas, be enlarged <br />and extended as hereinafter set out so as to inolude within the bOlmdary limits or <br />said City all that territory lying adjaoent to said City within the following des- <br />oribed lines, to-wit: <br /> <br />BEGmNING at tbs intersection of the North righ:l;-of-way line of South 0 Street, <br />City of La Porte, with the West right-of-way l1ne of the G. H. a:nd S. A. Railroad; <br /> <br />THEEOE in a Southerly direotion with said Railroad right-of..wq to Q. point <br />where said Railroad interseots the North line of the Geo. Mo Kinstry Survey, Abstraot <br />47; <br /> <br />THENCE in a Westerly' direotion with said Survey line to a point where said <br />survey line interseots an imag1nary line projeoted Southerly from Underwood Road; <br /> <br />THENCE in a Northerly direotion with the projeoted imaginary Une of Under- <br />w'ood Road, and oantinuirJg along the East right-of-way line of said Underwood Road <br />for a distance of 201)000 feet, more or less, to a point \'bere said right-of-way <br />Une interseots the Harth right-of~ line of Texas State RighWl\Y' 225,; <br /> <br />THENCE, in a NOJrthwesterly direotion, along the North right-of-~ line of <br />Texas State Highway 225 to a point where said right-of-wa.y line 1ntersects with the <br />West right-of-way line of Texas state High~ 134; <br /> <br />THENCE, along the West right-of-way line of Texas State Highway 134 to a point <br />where the East right"'o:f~ line of State Highway 134. interseots the South bOlDlda:ry <br />,line of the San Jaointo Battleground State Park of Texas,; <br /> <br />THENCE, in an Easterly direotion following the South boundary line of the San <br />Jadinto Battleground State Park to the Southern most, point of s aid boundary; <br /> <br />THENCE, in a No:rtheasterly direotion following the East boundary line of said <br />State Park and sa:id East boundary line of said State Park extended in the same direc- <br />tion to a point of intersectian with an imaginary line 2500 feet distant from and <br />parallel to, and an the South side of, the center l:1ne of the Houston Ship Charme 1; <br /> <br />THENCE, follow1ng in a Southeasterly direotion, said imaginary line to a point <br />where such line intel"seots the North right-of-~ line of State Highway 146; <br /> <br />THEli!CE, along the North righ:t;-of-~ l:1ne of Texas State Highway 146 :1n a <br />south-westerly direction to a point mere said right-of-way line interseots the East <br />right-of-wa;y line of Donaldson Street, City of La Porte, TexQ.s, such point at <br />intersection being m the East bOUIldary line of the preserrli limits of said City <br />o,f Ie. Porte e <br /> <br />SECTION TWO: That the territory :1noluded within the above desoribed' bOlmdary lines <br />be hereby annexed to,!) aul made a part of, the City of Ia. Porte, Texas, a:nd the in- <br />habitants thereof shall be bound by the aots and ordinanoes of said City. <br /> <br />SECTION THREE: That if al'lY portion or portions of the above desoribed territory <br />is validly inoluded tvith:1n the territorial limits of another oity or t om, thEm <br />such portion or portians of the above described territory is hereby excluded. and <br />the remaining territory is hereby annexed to the City of La Porte, and the bO\mdary <br />limits of s aid City are hereby amended to oonform to the boundary limits of such <br />other oity or town or such other cities or towns along the area of the oonfliot. <br /> <br />SECTION FOUR: That if ~ portion or portions of the above desoribed territory <br />l.egally mq beo()lD!L1:a.oluded within the limits of another city or town by reason <br />elf a valid amle xation ordinance heretofore introduoed before the 001.D1Oil, Comm.- <br />i,ssion or other legislative body of suoh oity or t own, then such portion or portiClls <br />et t he above desoribed territory is hereby exoluded from the limits of the City of <br />108. Porte and tl'e remaining territory is hereby annexed to the City of La Porte and <br />the boundary limits of said City of La Porte are hereby amended to oonform to the <br />'boundary limits of s uoh other oity or town or suoh other oities or toms along the <br />erea of the oonfliota <br />
