<br />. <br /> <br />e <br /> <br /> J c: ,r. <br /> THE STATE OF TEXAS D :1' <br /> e <br />. <br /> COUNTY OF HARRIS D ORDINANCE NO. 399 <br /> CITY OF LA PORTE I <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE DECLARING THE RESUr.:r S OF THE ELECTION FOR CITY OFFICIALS, HEm <br />ON THE 25th DAY OF APRIL A.D. 1950, IN THE CITY OF LA PORTE, TElCAS, AND <br />COli4MISSIONING THE OFFICIALS ELECTED. <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the City Commission of the City of La Porte, Texas, <br />that on the 4th day of May, A.D., 1950, oame on to be considered the returns <br />of the regular biennial election held on the 25th day of April, 1950, in the <br /> <br />City of La Porte, Harris County, Texas, for the purpose of electing a Mayor <br /> <br />aId two Commissioners,; it appearing to the Mayor and City Commissioners duly <br /> <br />e assembled for the purpose of considering such returns that the aforesaid elec- <br />tion was duly and regularly ordered by the Mayor and City Commissioners; that <br />said election was duly and regularly held in accordance with law and a d~ <br /> <br />passed city ordinance ordering the same; that proper returns were duly and <br /> <br />regularly made to the Mayor and City Commissioners as provided by law; and <br />that at said election votes were cast by one hundred sixty two (162) qualified <br /> <br />voters in the following manner, to-wit: <br /> <br />FOR MAYOR: <br /> <br />Harold. Crate, Jr. <br />C.J. Wilson <br />B. J. Faullmer <br />E. o. Clarke <br />N. A. Johnson <br />F. C. Cook <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />IT IS THEREFORE OBDmPD by the Mayor and City Commission that Harold J. <br /> <br />Pfeiffer reoeived the greatest munber of votes for Mayor and is therefore <br />declared by the Commission to be Mayor of the City of La Porte, Texas; <br /> <br />IT IS THERWCRE FURTHER ORDERED by the Mayor and City Commission that <br /> <br />William P. Jones and James S. Crate, Jr. received the greatest number of votes <br /> <br />for Commissioners and are therefore declared elected to their respective offices <br /> <br />as Commissioners,; <br /> <br />e <br />
