<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 95-05 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING AMENDMENT NO. 1 TO GRANT AGREEMENT FOR <br />PROJECT NO. 3-48-0127-06-93 FROM THE FEDERAL AVIATION <br />ADMINISTRATION; FINDING COMPLIANCE WITH THE OPEN MEETINGS LAW; <br />AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE HEREOF. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of La porte, Texas (termed SPONSOR herein), <br />and the Department of Transportation, Federal Aviation <br />Administration (FAA), desire to enter into an Amendment to a <br />certain Grant Agreement which provides Federal participation in <br />administrative and appraisal fees for Runway Protection Zone land <br />acquisition for the La Porte Municipal Airport; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, in response to a request duly filed by SPONSOR, the <br />FAA has prepared said Amendment, a copy of which is attached, and <br />has submitted it to SPONSOR for acceptance and execution; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, it is determined to be in the interest of SPONSOR and <br />FAA to accept said Amendment; <br /> <br />NOW THEREFOR, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF LA PORTE: <br /> <br />Section 1. That the City Council of the City of La Porte does <br />hereby accept the provisions of Amendment No. 1 to Grant Agreement <br />for Project 3-48-0127-06-93. <br />section 2. That the Mayor of the City of La Porte is hereby <br />authorized and directed to execute said Amendment for and on behalf <br />of the City of La Porte. <br />section 3. The City Council Officially finds, determines, <br />recites and declares that a sufficient written notice of the date, <br />hour, place and subject of this meeting of the City Council was <br />posted at a place convenient to the public at the City Hall of t~e <br />City of La Porte, Texas for the time required by law preceding this <br />meet~ng, as required by the Open Meetings Law, Article 6252-17, <br />Texas Revised civil Statutes Annotated; and that this meeting has <br />been open to the public as required by law at all times during <br />which this resolution and the subject matter thereof has been <br />discussed, considered and formally acted upon. The City Council <br />further ratifies, approves and confirms such written notice and the <br />contents and posting thereof. <br />
