<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 85-~ <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Harris County is contemplating a capital improvement <br />program and bond issue; and <br />WHEREAS, the City of La Porte has several vital needs in <br />street, highway, and drainage projects; and <br />WHEREAS, the City of La Porte wishes Harris County to include <br />the needs of the City of La Porte in the County Bond Issue; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF <br />THE CITY OF LA PORTE, TEXAS <br />THAT the fOllowing projects be included in such Harris County <br />Bond Issue: <br />1. Extension of Bay Area Boulevard from Fairmont Parkway to <br />Spencer Highway and upgrading Bay Area Boulevard (Sens <br />Road) between Spencer Highway and State Highway 225, and <br />supporting drainage improvements <br />2. Upgrading Underwood Road between Fairmont Parkway and <br />State Highway 225 to four-lane curb and gutter, and <br />supporting drainage improvements <br />3. Upgrading North "L" Street (extension of Pasadena <br />Boulevard) between Underwood Road and State Highway 146 <br />to four-lane curb and gutter, and supporting drainage <br />improvements <br />4. Improve Harris County Flood Control District (HCFCD) <br />watershed F101 by constructing two open channels in <br />Lomax to divert the western half of the watershed into <br />Big Island Slough (B106) and by making downstream <br />improvements to B106 <br />5. Im'prove HCFCD watershed F216 by extending the headwaters <br />of Little Cedar Bayou westward and northward about 1.5 <br />miles and by constructing midstream improvements west of <br />State Highway 146 <br /> <br />PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council of the City of La <br />Porte, Texas, this the 25th day of November, 1985. <br />CITY OF LA PORTE <br /> <br />By ~___ <br /> <br />~~ L.
