<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 87-20 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Article 2, Division 4, Section 2.25, Subsection (a) <br />of Ordinance 1388, the City of La Porte Fire Code, addresses <br />offering a two hundred and fifty dollar ($250.00) reward to any <br />person responsible for furnishing information leading to the <br />arrest and conviction of any person guilty of arson committed <br />within the city limits; and <br />WHEREAS, Mr. Clayton Glenn Gore, 5413 Rock Springs, La Porte, <br />Texas, came forward with information regarding a fire at 901 South <br />Broadway, La Porte, Texas, that occurred on April 6, 1987; and <br />WHEREAS, as a result of Mr. Gore's statement, two juveniles <br />were arrested and subsequently were found guilty of arson, and are <br />presently placed at the Harris County Youth Village. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL <br />OF THE CITY OF LA PORTE, TEXAS <br /> <br />Section 1. That Mr. Clayton Glenn Gore has met the <br />requirements set out in Ordinance 1388 regarding rewards for <br />information leading to the arrest and conviction of any person <br />guilty of arson. <br />Section 2. That Mr. Clayton Glenn Gore is qualified to <br />receive a two hundred and fifty dollar ($250.00) reward for his <br />efforts in said arrest and conviction, and shall have a check <br />forwarded to him by the City of La Porte in the amount of two <br />hundred and fifty dollars ($250.00), payable from the City of La <br />Porte General Fund. <br />Section ~.
