<br />'. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />ORDINANCE NO. 843 <br /> <br />.. <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE DISANNEXING CERTAIN TERRITORY HERETOFORE <br />ANNEXED TO THE CITY OF LA PORTE; CONTAINING A SAVINGS <br />CLAUSE; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE HEREOF. <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LA PORTE: <br /> <br />Section 1. The hereinafter described territory, which <br />is now entirely located within the corporate limits of the <br /> <br />City of La Porte, Texas, by prior annexation ordinances'of <br /> <br />the City of La Porte, is hereby disannexed from the corporate <br /> <br />limits of the City of La Porte, and, after the effective date <br /> <br />of this Ordinance, shall not constitute a part of the corporate <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />territory of the City of La Porte, to-wit: <br /> <br />BEGINNING at a point within the present corporate <br />limits of the City of La Porte, at the Southeast corner <br />of La Porte Outlot Four Hundred Eighty~two (482); <br /> <br />THENCE in a Westerly direction along the South <br />boundary line of said La Porte Outlot Four Hundred <br />Eighty-two (482), and continuing along the South <br />lines of La Porte 'Outlots Four Hundred Eighty-three <br />(483) through Four Hundred Ninety (490), or a <br />Westerly projection thereof, to a point ten feet <br />(10') East of the East right-of-way line of Underwood <br />Road, for a point for corner; <br /> <br />THENCE in a Northerly direction along an imaginary <br />line ten feet (10'), measured at right angles, East <br />of and parallel to the East right-Of-way line of <br />Underwood Road, to a point ten feet (10'), measured <br />at right angles, South of the South right-of-way <br />line of No~th "H" Street, for a point for corner; <br /> <br />.- <br /> <br />THENCE in an Easterly direction along an imaginary <br />line ten feet (10'), measured at right angles, <br />South of and parallel to the South right-of-way line <br />of North "H" Street, to an intersection with the <br />East property line of La Porte Outlot Four Hundred <br />Eighty-two (482), for a point for corner; <br /> <br />THENCE in a Southerly direction along the East <br />property line of La Porte Outlot Four Hundred <br />Eighty-two (482), to the PLACE OF BEGINNING hereof. <br /> <br />Section 2. Nothing herein contained shall affect the <br /> <br />validity of the remaining portion of the Ordinance or <br /> <br />Ordinances under which the hereinabove described territory <br /> <br />.- <br /> <br />was or~ginally annexed, and it is the intention of the City <br />Commission of the City of La Porte that only the above <br />described territory shall be disannexed from the corporate <br />
