STATE OF TEXAS)( <br />COUNTY OF HARRIS)( <br />CITY OF LA PORTE)( <br />ANIMAL SHELTER ADVISORY MEETING <br />A regular meeting was held on August 18, 2009, and called to order at 5:30 pan., at the La Porte <br />Police Department in the Training Room, 3001 N. 23rd, La forte, Texas. Members in attendance <br />were, Chief of Police Ken Adcox, Animal Control Supervisor Clarence Anderson, G and Donna <br />Medford, DVM. <br />1. Call to Order at 5:30 p.m. <br />2. Minutes were reviewed from October 20, 2008. Motion was made to approve minutes by <br />Dr. Medford and seconded by Clarence Anderson. <br />3, Minutes were reviewed from February 10, 2009. Motion was made to approve minutes <br />by Dr. Medford and seconded by Clarence Anderson. <br />3. Donation account was reviewed. <br />4. Repairs that were completed on the shelter were discussed. <br />S. The Citizens Police Academy is doing a fund raiser by building and placing dog houses <br />in businesses that will be used to collect donations for the shelter, The goal is to buy a <br />year's worth of vaccinations. <br />6. Motion was made by Clarence Anderson and seconded by Dana Dicker to spend up to <br />$550.00 for vaccinations out of the donation account. <br />7. Dana Dicker will set up an account on petportal.corn so that the animals can be viewed <br />by the public. This site updates other sites so that the public has access via several sites <br />to the current animals at the shelter. <br />8. Dana Dicker will send a volunteer waiver to Clarence Anderson to review for Animal <br />Control. <br />9. A booth will be set up at the Fall Back Festival. Clarence Anderson will get with the <br />CPA for volunteers. <br />10. Adjournment at approximately 6:20 p.m. <br />Approved on this day of , 2009. <br />
