STATE OF TEXAS )( COUNTY OF HARRIS )( CITY OF LA PORTE)( ANIMAL SHELTER ADVISORY MINUTES A regular meeting was held on October 6, 2011 and called to order at 6:00 pan., at the La Porte Police Department in the Administrative Conference Room, 3001 N. 23ra, and La Porte, Texas. Members in attendance were, Chief of Police Ken Adcox, Animal Control Supervisor Clarence Anderson, and Donna Medford, DVM. 1. Call to Order at 6:00 p.m. 2. Introduction of Members. Members of the Committee were introduced. 3. Approval of the minutes from March 29, 2011. Motion was made by Donna Medford DVM and seconded by Ken Adcox to approve the minutes from March 29, 2011. Motion was approved. 4. Update on the Animal Shelter Donation Account: Animal Control Supervisor Clarence Anderson updated the committee of the statues of the Donation Account. Motion was made by Donna Medford DVM and seconded by Ken Adcox to spend $1000.00 for vaccinations for the animals, $400.00 for a new cleaning system and $200,00 for a new camera. Motion was approved. 5. Presentation of Administrative/Statistical Reports by Animal Control Supervisor: Animal Control Supervisor Clarence Anderson went over the Statistical Reports for the Shelter. 6. Animal Control Supervisor Clarence Anderson went over the presentation that will be submitted for City Council for the possible Iocations of the new Animal Control Facility. Motion was made by Donna Medford DVM and seconded by Clarence Anderson to recommend the Municipal Airport Site to City Council. Motion was approved 7. Chief Ken Adcox discussed adding Young Leader like a High School Senior to the Advisory Committee. It was discussed by the committee and agreed upon to pursue the addition to the committee, 8. Board Member Comments Adjournment: Motion was made by Clarence Anderson and seconded by Ken Adcox to adjourn. Motion was approved i Approved on this day of 2012.
