STATE OF TEXAS)( <br />COUNTY OF HARRIS )( <br />CITY OF LA PORTE )( <br />ANIMAL SHELTER ADVISORY MINUTES <br />A regular meeting was held on September 11, 2013 and called to order at 6:06 p.m., at the La <br />Porte Police Department in the Administrative Conference Room, 3001 N. 23ra, and LaPorte, <br />Texas. Members in attendance were, Chief of Police Ken Adcox, Animal Control Supervisor <br />Clarence Anderson, Committee Member Donna Medford DVM, Committee Advisor Kimberly <br />Ferguson, and one guest. <br />1. Call to Order at 6:06 p.m. <br />2. Approval of the minutes from March 12. 2013. Motion was made by Donna Medford <br />and seconded by Clarence Anderson to approve the minutes from March 12, 2013. <br />Motion was approved. <br />3. Update on the Animal Shelter Donation Account: Animal Control Supervisor Clarence <br />Anderson updated the committee of the statues of the Donation Account. Clarence <br />Anderson asked the committee to approve a expenditure up to $1500.00 for vaccinations. <br />Motion was made by Donna Medford and seconded By Chief Ken Adcox to approve the <br />$1500.00 for vaccines. Motion was approved. <br />4. Presentation of Administrative/Statistical Reports by Animal Control Supervisor: <br />Animal Control Supervisor Clarence Anderson went over the Statistical Reports for the <br />Shelter. <br />5. Clarence Anderson advised that the Bid was approved for the new Adoption Center and <br />Animal Shelter. The Committee discussed the list of proposed sponsorships <br />opportunities that will be presented to businesses and the public. <br />6. Committee Comments. No Comments were made. <br />Adjournment: Motion was made by Clarence Anderson and seconded by Kimberly <br />Ferguson to adjourn. Motion was approved <br />Approved on this day of , 2013. <br />
