STATE OF TEXAS)( <br />COUNTY OF HARRIS )( <br />CITY OF LA PORTE )( <br />ANIMAL SHELTER ADVISORY MINUTES <br />A regular meeting was held on March 25, 2014 and called to order at 6:07 p.m., at the La Porte <br />Police Department in the Administrative Conference Room, 3001 N. 23rd, and La Porte, Texas. <br />Members in attendance were, Chief of Police Ken Adcox, Animal Control Supervisor Clarence <br />Anderson, and Committee Member Donna Medford DVM. <br />1. Call to Order at 6:07 p.m. <br />2. Approval of the minutes from December 10, 2013. Motion was made by Donna Medford <br />and seconded by Clarence Anderson to approve the minutes from. December 10, 2013. <br />Motion was approved. <br />3. Update on the Animal Shelter Donation Account: Animal Control Supervisor Clarence <br />Anderson updated the committee of the statues of the Donation Account. He advised that <br />the vaccines had been ordered from the previous approval, but that the $500.00 for flea <br />medication had not been purchased. Clarence Anderson asked the committee to approve <br />a expenditure up to $1500.00 for vaccinations. Motion was made by Clarence Anderson <br />and seconded by Donna Medford to approve the $1500.00 for vaccines. Motion was <br />approved. <br />4. Presentation of Administrative/Statistical Reports by Animal Control Supervisor: <br />Animal Control Supervisor Clarence Anderson went over the Statistical Reports for the <br />Shelter. <br />5. Clarence Anderson went over the progression of the construction of new Adoption <br />Center and Animal Shelter. <br />6. Clarence Anderson went over the Adoption center and Animal Shelter Sponsorship <br />Drive. It was discussed on ways to market the program. <br />7. Committee Comments. No Comments were made. <br />8. Adjournment: Motion was made by Clarence Anderson and seconded by Donna <br />Medford to adjourn. Motion was approved <br />Approved on this 0 day of ®C�a. � , 2014. <br />
