Call to Order <br /> <br />The meeting was called to order by Chairperson Chuck Engelken at 6:00 p.m. <br /> <br />Members of Committee Present: Chairperson Chuck Engelken and Councilmember <br />Howard Ebow, Councilmember Barry Beasley. <br /> <br />Members of Committee Absent: Peter Griffiths <br /> <br />Members of City Council Present: Councilmember Charlie Young and Councilmember <br />Meismer arrived at 6:45 P.M.. <br /> <br />Members of City Executive Staff and City Emplovees Present: City Manager Debra <br />Feazelle, City Secretary Martha Gillett, Director of Finance Cynthia Alexander, Assistant <br />Director of Finance Michael Dolby, Tax Assessor/Collector Kathy Powell and Assistant <br />City Manager JoIui Joems . <br /> <br />Others Present: None. <br /> <br />2. Consideration of approval of the Minutes of the Regular Meeting of the City of La. Porte <br />Audit Committee held on March 22, 2004. . <br /> <br />Motion was made by Councilmember Beasley to approve the minutes as presented. Second <br />by Ebow. The motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />3. Discussion Items <br /> <br />A. Proposition 13 - The committee recommended staff promote currenfprograms offered <br />to Senior Citizens and Handicap Citizens. It was noted staff would put a flyer together <br />and send out in the water bills. <br /> <br />B. City Council Travel - Chairperson Engelken noted Councilmembers Griffiths, <br />Meismer and Mosteit called him and noted they had concerns. The committee advised <br />staff they would like the following changes: <br /> <br />Item 6 - Remove <br /> <br />4. Tax Manager Kathy Powell discussed Tax Resale Property <br /> <br />The following items were recommended for approval: <br /> <br />Resale - P030 - Taxes and Costs $8,349.31 - Adjudged Value $4, 690 - Bid Amount <br />. $4,300. <br /> <br />Motion was made by Councilmember Howard Ebow to approve the recommendation of <br />staff. Second by Councilmember Ebow. The motion passed unanimously. <br />
