<br />Building Codes Appeals Board <br />Minutes of March 17,2005 <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Tom Campbell, Ken Schlather, Bruce Compton, John Elfstrom <br /> <br />Members Absent: <br /> <br />Ron Holt. Franc Velez, Joe Gold (resigned) <br /> <br />Citr Staff Present: <br /> <br />Chief Building Official Debbie Wilmore <br /> <br />1. CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Meeting called to order at 6:10 P.M. by Chairman Tom Campbell <br /> <br />2. CONSIDER APPROVING MINUTES FROM THE FEBRUARY 17,2005 MEETING <br /> <br />Motion to approve the minutes of the February 17,2005 meeting as submitted was made by Bruce <br />Compton. Second was by Ken Schlather. Motion passed unanimously. <br /> <br />3. DISCUSS DEVELOPMENT AND FUTURE ADOPTION OF RULES OF PROCEDURE <br /> <br />Chairman Campbell suggest the Board members read the sample Rules of Procedure, red-line <br />them, and bring their drafts to the next scheduled meeting. The motion regarding this was made <br />by Ken Schlather and second by John Elfstrom. Motion passed unanimously. <br /> <br />4. DISCUSS EXISTINGIFUTURE LOCAL AMENDMENTS AND THE 2005 EDITION, <br />NATIONAL ELECTRICAL CODE <br /> <br />Chairman Campbell suggested the Board utilize John's expertise as a working electrician by <br />making him the lead in the review of the 2005 Edition of the NEC and existing local <br />amendments. John agreed. <br /> <br />Staffwas asked if they had any document that could assist John in his review. Ms Wilmore <br />confirmed the City has an "overview" of code changes and could get a copy to John next week. <br /> <br />A motion was made by Ken Schlather to have John review the new code and existing local <br />amendments and provide the Board with comments at the next meeting. Second was by Bruce <br />Compton. Motion passed unanimously. <br />
