<br />Building Codes Appeals Board <br />Minutes of March 9, 2010 <br /> <br />Members Present: Tom Campbell, Terry Bunch, Ken Schlather, Ron Holt, Paul Larson and <br />Mark Follis <br /> <br />Members Absent: Michael Reedy <br /> <br />City Staff Present: Mark Huber, Deputy Building Official <br /> <br />Others Present: None <br /> <br />1. CALL TO ORDER <br />Meeting called to order at 6:05 P.M. by Chairman Tom Campbell. <br /> <br />2. CONSIDER APPROVING MINUTES FROM THE JANUARY 19,2010 MEETING <br />Motion to approve the January 19,2010 minutes, as submitted, was made by Ron Holt. <br />Second by Ken Schlather. Motion passed unanimously. <br /> <br />3. DISCUSS AND TAKE ACTION REGARDING THE PURCHASEIREVlEW OF <br />PLUMBING AND MECHANICAL CODE BOOKS <br />Motion by Mark Follis to choose the International Plumbing and Mechanical Code. Second <br />by Mr. Holt. All voted in favor except for a nay vote from Chairman Campbell, motion <br />passed. <br /> <br />Second motion made by Chairman Campbell to adopt the Uniform Plumbing Code. Motion <br />received no second. Motion failed. <br /> <br />Mr. Follis made a motion to purchase the 2009 International code books as a whole and have <br />staff do the preliminary code review. Staff would then forward the comments to the Board <br />for their review along with the code books. Second by Mr. Schlather. Motion passed <br />unanimously. <br /> <br />4. ADMINISTRATIVE REPORTS <br />Mark Huber advised the board the budgeted funds are available~ however, staffwas awaiting <br />the Board's direction on which books to purchase. <br />
