<br />Meeting was called to order by Mayor Sharp with the following Aldermen
<br />present: C.i~. Agee, P.L. Benson, J.N. Johnson, Fred R. Ruff
<br />Minutes of the last regular meeting were read and approved.
<br />Motion by Agee, second by Johnson, that the renewal of Petty Cash in
<br />the amount of X6.23 be allowed.
<br />Carried
<br />'~'-r Motion by Ruff, second by Agee, that the Worthington Gamon bill for
<br />bill 25 meters in the amount of X213.50 be allo~-ed for future payment.
<br />Carried
<br />Motion b°~ Bensoa,Second by Johnson, that the following warrants be
<br />ratified: ~3778,Harlan Davis ~1.60,~3779sJ•W• Davis,~3.20, #3781,

<br />Gillette Motion by Ruff, second by Agee, that Fred G. Gillette, be notified
<br />l~-" meter that he must install a new 12" water meter to replace the old meter
<br />which will not register.
<br />Carried.
<br />=ransz^er Motion by Ruff, seoon~ by Agee, that the Mayor and City Secretary be
<br />instructed to transfer the sum of x.00.00 from the Special Water Imp-
<br />rovement Fund to the General Fund, also that the Mayor and .City Secretary
<br />be instructed to transfer ~Ia.00.00 from the General Fund back to the
<br />Special Water Improvements Fund as soon as it is availabl®.

<br />Fudget Motion by Agee, second by Benson, that the following resolution be
<br />adopted:
<br />WHEREAS, heretofore, the Mayor of the City of La Porte pre-
<br />pared and submitted to the City Council, at its regular meeting, held
<br />on July 22,19l~0, his proposed budget for the fiscal year, April 1,191.0
<br />to March 31,19l.~7.; and
<br />WHEREAS, the City Council filed such proposed budget with the
<br />Clerk of the City on the 22nd day of July,19L~0,and designated that a
<br />public hearing on such budget be held at the City Hall at 8:00 P.M. on
<br />August 26,1910, and caused public notice of such hearing to be made; and,
<br />WHEREAS, such public hearing has been held, it is therefore
<br />ordered by the Council that the budget, as prepared and submitted by the
<br />Mayor, is hereby finally approved by the City Council and it is hereby
<br />order®d that a true copy of such approved budget, together with a copy
<br />of this order, shall be filed in each of the offices of the Clerk ox' the
<br />City of La Porte, the County Clerk of Harris County, Texas and the State
<br />Ccanptroller, at Austin, Texas.
