• .. <br />MINUTES <br />LA PORTE CITY COUNCIL <br />JANUARY L2, 19!.92, 8:00 P.S. <br />Meeting was oallsd to order by Mayor Sharp, with the following <br />Aldermen and City officials pre;~~:'.:- Ald; Fred R. Ruff, J.N. <br />Johnson, C.F. Norris, City Attorney Kiibler, Assistant Secretary <br />Christensen. <br />Minutes of the Last regular Heating were read and approved, <br />So. N. Bell Mr. Clark, representing the South Western Bell Telephone Co. <br />Tel• Co. appeared before the Council and requested that the City Council <br />Taxes reduce the assessed taluation of The Telephone Co. taxes from <br />33,000 to X29,000 for 1941. After sorue discussion motion was <br />made by Johnson and second by Norris that the Council aocept the <br />inventory aP values as submitted by Mr, Clark as being correct <br />and to reduce the assessed valuation of the Telephone Co. to <br />$29,000 for 1941, <br />Carried. <br />Roof R pair Motion by Johnson, second by Ruff, that the roof on City Hall No. <br />City Ha11 2 be repaired and tha front part of the building be offered to the <br />No. 2 Church cf Christ at X20.00 per month. <br />Carried. <br />Motion by Johnson, seeond by Ruff, that the following schedule <br />of bills in the amount of X303.77 be allowed and ordered paid; <br />Bills Geo.
