Special meeting of the City Commission was called to order by Mayor Pro-Tem Jones, with the follov~i.ng members and city officials present: Commissioner b1. D. Burgin, and City Clerk J. E. ~suldoon. Motion by Burgin, second by Jones, to rescind motion made by Burgin at meet- ing held on the 21st day of February, 1952, in connection vrith location of eleven (11) street lamps. Motion by Burgin, second by Jones, that the City of La Porte accept additional overhead lig ht s in accordance with agreement dated January 1, 19l~5, lights to be located at the followl.ng intersections: 1. !Pest Eleventh & Main Streets 2. South 10th Rc "A" Streets 3. South 6th ~ "A" Streets ~.. North lath & Polk (A) Streets 5. East Main & Idaho Struts 6. East Fain & Holmes Streets 7. East Main & Brownell Streets and three (3) lights to be located at the Five Points Circle, in accordance with map drawn by N, G, Hrivnatz. This motion is far ten (10) lights, instead of eleven (11), same bei ng agreed upon by both the Houston Lighting & Poorer Company and t he city officials, so as to be able to illuminate the Five Points Circle. C arri ed. Wm. A. Stabs, Jr, Fire Marshall, appeared before the Commission and requested that he be~ given some gasoline to take care of his exper~es in the performance of his duties as Fire Marshall. The Commission rejected his plea, and requested hip! to br:~ng this matter up again when a near budget was prepared. The City Clerk informed the Commission that he had several bids on fire hose, which were requested by J. 0. Rollins. Mayor Pro-Ten Jones ordered the City Clerk to open the bids on the fire hose, at~,~i read them aloud. The Bids were opened and tabulated as folloirrs:
