Burgin, with the following members and city officials present: Commissioner L, R. Rigby, (H. P. Pfeiffer on vacation), Special. Counsel Jno. S, Kiibler, and Frank G. Baker, City Clerk, Also present was Mr, Tom (~r-stead, Houston Post Reporter. Motion by Rigby, second by Burgin, that City work with Bayside Terrace Addition towards surer line to join City of La Porte disposal with joint .control, cost per connects on not to exceed X1.25. Carried. Motion by Bur gLn, second by Rigby, that FS.r st National Bank of La Porte, be appointed the City s depository. Carried. Motion by Burgin, second by Rigby that H. P. Pfeiffer, W.R.Thornton and ~.A. ~;rthur, be appointees to the Electrical Board of the City of La Porte, Carried. Motion by Burgin, second by Rigby, that the following Resolution be adopted: RESOLUTICiJ BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE CITY OF LA PORTS, TEXAS, TENTATIVELY APPROVE THIS DATE THE BUDGET SUBA9ITTED BY THE MAYOR F'JR THE CURRENT FISCAL YEAR; ,.THAT PUBLICATION OF NOTICE OF .HEARING OF SAID BUDGET BE MADE IN THE OFFICIAL. NEWSPAPER OF THE CITY OF LA PORTS, TEXAS, C3~T AUGt15T 17TH, 1956, AND 5AlD HEARING BE HELD IN ACCORDANCE e',rITH SUCH NOTICE ON SEPTEM~ 7TH, 1956, at I~:30 0~CLOCK P. M. AT .THE CITY HALL, CITY OF LA PORTS, TEXAS. Carried. Motion by Rigby, second by Burgin, that Junior Chamber of Commerce be granted permission to paint speed signs on (H.ty Streets and cross walks at school. (Places will be designated later), Carried. Motion by Burgin, secor~l by Rigby that letter be written to Southwestern Be11 Telephone Company confirming their vrishes to extend Oresinance No. l~1.9, Section 11 provisions for additional five years. i ~~ 4t/ Carried,
