• • <br />MINUTES - SPECIAL MEETING <br />of the <br />LA PORTS CITY COMh9lSS/ON, LA PORTS, TEXAS <br />May 5, 1965 <br />MEMBERS OF THE COMMISSION PRESENT: Mayor H. P. Pfeiffer, <br />Commissioners Russell Shepherd, W. A. Stabs, Jr., <br />Lots J. Compton, and Tom Osburn. <br />MEMBERS OF THE COMM/SS/ON ABSENT: None. <br />OTHER CITY OFFICIALS PRESENT: City Clerk Marilyn Kelley. <br />PRESJDlNG: Mayor Pfeiffer. <br />+ + + <br />1. Commissioner Osburn made a motion, seconded by <br />Commissioner Shepherd, that Houston Lighting and <br />Power Company be granted a Spectal Permit for <br />the expansion of their Sub Station located on <br />Lots 5 thrv 14, Block 203, La Porte Addition. <br />Motion carried. <br />+ + + <br />2. A motion was made by Commissioner Compton and <br />seconded by Commissioner Shepherd, that the City <br />reimburse La Porte State Bank for one-half the <br />cost of paving a sidewalk on the City's 67' of <br />property located in Block 60, La Porte Addition. <br />Approximate cost 67' @ 1.10 per sq. foot. <br />Motion carried. <br />+ + + <br />3. Commissioner Osburn made a motion, seconded <br />by Commissioner Shepherd, that the Commission <br />recede theft motion of April 19, 1965 in regard <br />to advertising for Bids on Bank Depository. <br />Further, that the Mayor be authorized to set up <br />a meeting of representattves from both Banks to <br />discuss the City's banking needs. Motion carried. <br />+ + + <br />
