Pfeiffer, Commissioners <br />Russell Shepherd, Charles D. Boyle, and W. A. Stabs, Jr. <br />MEMBERS OF THE CQMM/SS/ON ABSENT: Lots J. Compton. <br />OTNER CITY OFF/C/ALS PRESENT: City Attorney Knox W. Askins, City <br />ngineer H. Carlos Smith, City Clerk Marilyn Kelley, Ctty <br />Inspector Dan Kennedy, Fire Chief H. Gould Cnofoot, Water <br />Superintendent Lyman Cunningham and Assistant Police Chief <br />Robert Hall. <br />PRESIDING: Mayor Pfeiffer. <br />+ + + <br />1. Minutes of the regular meeting of May 98, 9966 were approved <br />as written. <br />+ + + <br />2. The City Attorney presented a proposed Service Station Ordinance, <br />and recommended that the adopt the Fire Prevention Code. <br />Mr. A. M. Ewing requested that the Commission pass an ordinance <br />regulating self-service stations operations, but not prohibiting <br />them as the proposed ordinance does. <br />Mr. Odell Williams and Mr. Sonny Applebe addressed the Commission <br />favoring the passing of the proposed ordinance. <br />The City Attorney requested that the ordinance be tabled for <br />study. <br />+ + + <br />3. A motion was made by Commission Shepherd, and seconded by <br />Commissioner Stabs that a manager for the swimming pool be hired <br />at a salary of X300. per month, and that a life guard be <br />compensated for the ttme worked tratning the swimming team. <br />Motion carried. <br />+ + + <br />• <br />~.. .I <br />
