Minutes of the regular meeting of April 97, 9967 and the special <br />meeting of April 99, 9967, and April 24, 9967, were approved as <br />written. <br />+ + + <br />2. Commissioner Shepherd made a motion, seconded by Commissioner <br />Stabs, and carried, that Ordinance No. 767 be passed on first and <br />final reading. <br />CAPTION: <br />AN ORDINANCE DECLARING THE RESUL TS CF THE REGULAR ELECTION HELD <br />IN THE CITY OF LA POP,TE ON APRIL 25, 9967, FO.R THE ELECTION OF <br />A CITY COMMISSIONER POSITICN 9, AND A CITY COMMISSIONER, POSITION 3. <br />+ + + <br />3. City Attorney, Knox W. Askins, administered the Oath of Office <br />to Mrs. Lois J. Compton, Position No. 9, and Bobby J. Burgin, <br />Position No. 3. <br />Mayor Pfeiffer presented rettring Commissioner Russell Shepherd <br />with a Certificate of Appreciation for the four years he has <br />served as Commissioner. <br />+ + + <br />4. h;r. H. L. Hughes and Mr. Ignacio Rodriguez, representing the <br />St. Mary's Catholic Church, requested that Leone, Candace and <br />Oltve Streets, and the alleys in Blocks 33, 34, 36, 37, be <br />closed. Mayor Pfeiffer advised that a written request, along <br />with the required fee be filed with the City Clerk. <br />+ + + <br />
