Mayor Malone called an executive session on Personnel and <br />Council wentthettablecatl6et}gePs~:n at 6:02 P.M. Council <br />returned to <br />3. Council considered an ordinance ratifying the appointment of a <br />Police Chief. <br />The City Attorney read a letter from the City Manager <br />regarding the appointment (a copy is attached as an official <br />part of these minutes). The City Attorney then read: <br />ORDINANCE 1451 - AN ORDINANCE CONFIRMING THE APPOINTMENT OF A <br />CHIEF OF POLICE BY THE CITY MANAGER OF THE CITY OF LA PORTE; <br />FINDING IN COMPLIANCE WITH THE OPEN MEETINGS LAW; AND <br />PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE HEREOF. <br />
