CALL TO ORDER — Mayor Rigby called the meeting to order at 6.00 p m. <br />2. INVOCATION — The invocation was given by Brian Christen, La Porte Community Church, and the <br />pledges were led by Councilperson Martin. <br />3. PRESENTATIONS, PROCLAMATIONS, AND RECOGNITIONS <br />(a) Proclamation in recognition of National Domestic Violence Awareness and Prevention Month. [Louis <br />R. CITIZEN COMMENT (Generally limited to five minutes per person; in accordance with state law, the <br />time may be reduced if there is a high number of speakers or other considerations.) <br />Joseph Thomas of Post 319 of the American Legion invited Councilpersons and the public to the <br />Legion's fall events. <br />5. CONSENT AGENDA (Approval of Consent Agenda items authorizes each to be implemented in <br />accordance with staff recommendations provided. An item may be removed from the consent agenda <br />and added to the Statutory Agenda for full discussion upon request by a member of the Council present <br />at this meeting.) <br />a. Adopt Resolution 2024-01, appointing members of the La Porte City Council to serve as the <br />City of La Porte's 2024 Representative and Alternate Representative to the H-GAC General <br />Assembly and Board of Directors (annual item). Approve the range rebuild project utilizing Haz Mat Special Services, LLC, to remove the <br />existing blocks and materials for $13,990.00 and Action Target for constructing a rubberized <br />pellet bullet trap range utilizing GSA Contract GS07FO482Y for $144,000.00, purchase of <br />
