JAY MARTIN OQ p CHUCK ENGELKEN <br />CHAIRMAN O,D MEMBER <br />A <br />TREYKENGRICK 1j III BENTLEY <br />MEMBER ALTERNATE <br />a, \ <br />rc%rs <br />MINUTES OF THE DRAINAGE AND FLOODING COMMITTEE MEETING <br />April 12, 2021 <br />The Drainage and Flooding Committee of the City of La Porte met on Monday, April 12, 2021, at the City <br />Hall Council Chambers, 604 West Fairmont Parkway, La Porte, Texas, at 6:00 p.m. to consider the <br />following items of business: <br />Committee Members present: Jay Martin, Chuck Engelken <br />Committee Members attending remotely: None <br />Committee Members absent: Trey Kendrick, Bill Bentley <br />Council -appointed officers present: Lee Woodward, City Secretary; Clark T. Askins, Assistant City Attorney <br />CALL TO ORDER — Chairman Martin called the meeting to order at 5:01 D.m. <br />2. CITIZEN COMMENT (Generally limited to five minutes per person, in accordance with state law, the time <br />may be reduced if there is a high number of speakers or other considerations.) <br />There were no citizen comments. <br />3. STATUTORYAGENDA <br />a. Presentation, discussion, and possible action to approve the minutes of the <br />March 8, 2021, meeting. [Chairman Martin] <br />Member Engelken moved to approve the minutes Chair Martin seconded the motion: the motion was <br />adopted. 2-0. <br />b. Presentation, discussion, and possible action regarding an interlocal agreement between the City <br />of La Porte and the City of Pasadena related to land within the ETJ of the respective cities. <br />[Lorenzo Wingate, Assistant Director of Public Works] <br />Lorenzo Wingate, Assistant Public Works Director, and Assistant City Attorney Clark Askins announced <br />the agreement had been approved by the City of Pasadena and was scheduled to be presented to the <br />La Porte City Council at their April 26 meeting. <br />c. Presentation, discussion, and possible action regarding the Harris County Flood Control <br />District's (HCFCD) and Harris County Precinct 2's current and future plans related to flooding in <br />the City of La Porte. [Lorenzo Wingate, Assistant Director of Public Works] <br />Lorenzo Wingate, Assistant Public Works Director, said modeling for existing conditions were still being <br />established for the F216 Phase 3 project. <br />d.
