Askins, City <br />Attorney, Lee Woodward, City Secretary <br />The City of La Porte Drainage and Flooding Committee met in a regular meeting <br />on July 10, 2024, (originally posted for July 8, 2024, with a delayed start due to <br />Hurricane Beryl) at the City Hall Council chamber, <br />604 West Fairmont Parkway, La Porte, Texas, at 5:00 p.m. <br />1. CALL TO ORDER - Chair Martin called the meeting to order at 5:00 p.m. <br />2. CITIZEN COMMENT (Generally limited to five minutes per person; in accordance with <br />state law, the time may be reduced if there is a high number of speakers or other <br />considerations.) <br />Randa Spence spoke of her concerns at Bayside Terrace. <br />3. STATUTORYAGENDA <br />a. Presentation, discussion, and possible action to approve the minutes of the <br />June 10, 2024, meeting. [Lee Woodward, City Secretary] <br />Member Engelken moved to approve the minutes of the June 10 2024 meeting the <br />motion was seconded by Member Williams the motion was adopted 3-0. <br />b. 100-Acre-Foot Pond - Presentation, discussion, and possible action regarding <br />the status of the100-acre-foot detention pond project near the Pasadena <br />Convention Center and Brookglen Subdivision, as established in amended <br />interlocal agreement between the City of La Porte and the City of Pasadena. <br />[Ray Mayo, Director of Public Works] <br />Without objection Chair Martin requested that Mr. Mayo present items b-e together. <br />Mr. Mayo said Halff Associates was addressing the 90% complete comments and that <br />he felt the City could meet its next target of complete design by August or September. <br />He addressed the F101 project with Harris County Flood Control District (HCFCD), <br />noting Harris County has provided an agreement which is under review by the City <br />Attorney. <br />For City drainage projects, Mr. Mayo said the Northside Drainage Project was having <br />concrete boxes placed, in Brookglen, Phase I plans were with Harris County and at <br />
