MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE <br />CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LA PORTE <br />Councilpersons Present: Rick Helton, Brandon Lunsford, Brent McCaulley, Mandi <br />Williams, Chuck Engelken, Bill Bentley, Jay Martin, Robbie <br />McLarrin <br />Councilpersons Attending Remotely: None <br />Councilpersons Absent: None <br />Council -appointed Officers Present: Corby Alexander, City Manager; Clark T Askins, <br />City Attorney; Lee Woodward, City Secretary <br />The City Council of the City of La Porte met on March 10, 2025, at the City Hall <br />Council Chambers, 604 West Fairmont Parkway, La Porte, Texas, at 6:00 p.m. <br />1. Call to Order - Mavor Helton called the meeting to order at 6:02 p.m. <br />2. Invocation and Pledges of Allegiance - The invocation was provided by Reverend <br />Jackie King of Victory Tabernacle Church and the pledges were led by Grayson Rost. <br />3. Recognitions <br />a. Recognition of Employees for Years of Service - Michael Avila - Patrol Officer <br />(10 years) <br />b. Presentation of trophies for the Mardi Gras on Main parade. [Kayla Baez, <br />Marketing and Special Events Coordinator] <br />• Best in Theme - Main Street Food Truck Park and Entertainment Center <br />• Judges' Favorite - Saddle Up Riding Club <br />• Pet Winner - Spoiled Rotten <br />• Umbrella Winner - Las Catrinas <br />4. Citizen Comment <br />Randall Hayes thanked Councilperson Williams and Mr. Alexander for a stop sign and <br />a kayak launch idea at Seabreeze Park, and requested traffic control devices to <br />prevent speeding in his neighborhood. <br />S.
