LA PORTE FIRE CONTROL BOARD MEETING AGENDA <br />Tuesday, May 13, 2025, 6:00 p.m. <br />Notice is hereby given of a meeting of the Fire Control, Prevention, and EMS District Board of <br />Directors to be held on May 13, 2025, at 6:OOpm at the Fire Administration Building 125 S. 3rd Street, <br />La Porte, Texas, for the purpose of considering the following agenda items. All agenda items are <br />subject to action. <br />1. CALL TO ORDER <br />2. CITIZEN COMMENT <br />(Generally limited to five minutes per person; in accordance with state law, the time may be <br />reduced if there is a high number of speakers or other considerations.) <br />3. MEETING MINUTES APPROVAL <br />Approve minutes of La Porte Fire Control, Prevention, and Emergency Medical Services <br />Board of Directors Meeting, held on February 13, 2025. <br />4. CANVASSING OF THE CONTINUATION RFERENDUM ELECTION <br />Presentation, discussion, and possible action to adopt Resolution 2025-02 canvassing the <br />returns of the May 3,2025, City of La Porte Fire Control, Prevention and Emergency Medical <br />Services District Continuation Referendum Election. <br />5. UPDATE ON FISCAL YEAR 2025 - 2026 BUDGET PREPARATION <br />Receive and discuss update on preparations of the 2025 - 2026 Fiscal Year Budget for the <br />La Porte Fire Control, Prevention, and Emergency Medical Services District. <br />6. BOARD COMMENTS <br />Hear announcements concerning items of community interest; and/or inquiries of staff <br />regarding specific factual information or existing policy from members or staff, for which no <br />formal action will be discussed. <br />7. ADJOURN <br />If, during the course of the meeting and discussion of any items covered by this notice, the <br />Fire Control, Prevention, and EMS District Board of Directors determines that a closed or <br />executive session is required, then such closed meeting will be held as authorized by Texas <br />Government Code, Chapter 551. If a closed or executive session is held, the Board will <br />reconvene in open session in order to take action, if necessary, on the items addressed <br />during executive session. <br />
