Norris, Fred R• Ruff, City Attorney Kiibler, and Assistant Sec. <br />Isensee. <br />Minutes of the ls.st meeting were read and approved. <br />Motion by Ruff and second by Johnson that the Fire Hose bids be opened. <br />Carried. <br />Mayor Sharg asked that the submitted bids be read. The following <br />Companies submitted bads: The Gsadall Rubber Ce,, The Goodrich Rubber <br />Co., The Eureka Fire Hose Div:.si.on, American-La France - Foamite Corp., <br />and The Quaker Rubber Co. The follcw~ing prices were given in the <br />bids; (A11 22") Goodall Co. Undere~7ters ~.7~ per ft., Nuflex $•90, <br />Super X X1.03. Prices F.O.B. ha Porte, Texas. :The Goodrich Co., Doublo <br />Jaeket White King ~I.20 ger ft. Jupiter ~1.O1~, and Planet ~.QS• The <br />fire hose American-ha France-I~'cami.te Corp. Brigade Dozable Jacket x•77 per ft•, <br />bids Raxwell Double Jacket X1.1.0. The Eureka Fire Hose Di~isiar_, X1.10 <br />for Multex Multiple Woven, Avon Double Jacket~~•Q3, Record Double 3acket <br />~.QO, Underwi:iters ~.?5 and witl-Aout Underwriters seal, ~.?3, 2f tenth <br />proximo, 60 days net with additional 10 months at ~ interest if desired. <br />Quaker Rubber Co•, Multiple Woven Brand, Stamped month and year $1.1,0 <br />per ft. 2°' 10th proximo or 90 days net. <br />After thorough discussion it was deoided that the Retard hose at ~•g0 <br />per Poet offered by The Eureka Fire Hose Divis+~on met the present Citys <br />Accepted needs, and on motion by Ruff, second btu Agee, and passed by those <br />& Awarded present, the contract for 600 ft. of ~" Record, Double Jacket hose, <br />~ ~•a0 per foot, coupled complete, delivered, was awarded to the <br />Eureka Fire Hose Division. With a January 1st, 19I~2 billing. <br />Mr• Fred G. Gillette appeared before the Council to find out the <br />Shelling e:nount of shell the City will put down on 5th Ave from South C St• <br />of 5th Ave to the new School Bus garage, and what would be the Schools part. <br />from C St Mr. Gillette was adv~.sed that the City would pay one-third of the <br />to School cost of c!}e'.19_n~ o" they street and the property owners would have to <br />Garage pay two-thirds the cost of the shelling as is the policy of the City <br />in shelling any street. <br />Mo°~ian by Agee and second by Norris that the City pay for one-third <br />Shelling of the shelling of 5th eve from. South C Bt. to the School garage as <br />is the usual basis for any shelling done by the City. <br />Carried. <br />Motion by Ruff and Second by Johnson that the following warrants be <br />ratified; <br />warrants Geo. Simon #1602 ~9.F4 <br />& refund Geo. Simon #1.605 ~17.6Q <br />27.20 <br />and that Mr. Guy R. Hamilton be refunded the amount of X9.25 For <br />sewe~~ connection to the Kerber house as per Pais contract with the City. <br />Carried. <br />
