Agee. <br />i3. nut es of the previous meeting were read and approves. <br />There being no unfinished business or committee reports <br />the meeting proceeded to Idew business. <br />Alderman Counts offered a motion vrhich was seconded by <br />r~1d.Loyle that the (:ity attorney be instructed to write <br />to J Ii i'uitifoy notifying him that the gate at the entrance <br />of comminity pier at end of Lobit st. must be reruoved.. <br />Carried. <br />Upon ma~ion by Ald. iiolton and second by Ald. Boyle the <br />City Attorney ~^ras instructed to draw up an Ordinance requiring <br />a permit for the operation of any machine operated with <br />coins such as marble machines and coin ~ni~.sic machines and <br />requuring a fee of X2.50 for a permit fifty carts of ~~-hich <br />t o g o t o the City ~.arshal for his services and t~vo dollars <br />s to the city treasury. City Attorney to notify <br />the City Secs y. when Ordinance is ready and he ~^rill call a <br />special meeting for the purpose of acting on the Ordinance. <br />Carri ed . <br />Ey ~;otion by Ald. Counts and second by Ald. x~olton the City <br />Seely. was instructed to write to the officials of the Sou. <br />Pac. Ky. Co. expressing fine appreciation of the 4~tt~~~%r <br />I:.ayor and Counci 1 f orthe efficient manner in which the <br />delegates t3~ the anual F`iremens Convention at ::1 Paso was <br />returned to their homes wit~h.out extra cost and with a minimum <br />loss of times during the floods vrhich prevailed in 'Jest Texas <br />requiring the detouring of trains. <br />Carried. <br /> <br />Ald. Holton offered a motion which eras seconded by A1d. Foyle <br />that Louis twin be paid for three days services on the <br />frist, second and Baird of July as temporary erployee and at <br />the rate of forty cents per hour and that he be ez~ployed <br />permanently from July one 1935 to April ].,,,193'7 at forty cents j'~+~%~YY~ <br />per hour. i:.otion carried by the following record vote. <br />Ald.
