-- <br />` / <br />._.% <br />•. <br />J~ ~~ <br />SPECIAL MEETING <br />LA FORTE CITY COUNCIL <br />AUG.18/31 ` <br />Meeting was called to order by the Mayor A N Mc Kay. <br />All members of the council were present. <br />The purpose of the mffistting was to act on the adoption of an <br />ordinance author~bzing the issuance of refunding warrants to <br />take care of an amount due Gayle Bros. on the Sewer contrs.ct in excess <br />tY~aat provided by the X70 000 00 bmnd issue and to complete the <br />water extension , repair certa~a. stneets torn up by the sewer . <br />contractor , paint lift plant buildings and construct a spillway <br />at the outfall on San Jacinto Bay. <br />The two ordinances were read by the secretary. <br />Alderman Wall offered a motion seconded by Alderman Sharp to <br />adopt both ordinances. . <br />Aldermen iNall yes. Sharp yes, Tolle yes, Bendel yes and Ruff yes. <br />There being a unanimous vote in favor of adopting the ordinances <br />the Mayor declared ordinances Nos.~i~~l ~,~ ~ $d effect. <br />Alderman Sandal offered a motion seconded by Alderman Sharp to <br />recind ordinance adopted Aug. 13/31. These ordinances were for <br />the same purpose but it was found necessary to rewrite them. <br />Carried. <br />No further business to come before the meeting adjournment was <br />taken by a unanimous vote of the council.
