Hopkins and Ivey, y~5 00. <br />REPORT OF COI~ZR'~ TTEES. <br />Alderman Ruff reported for the St. and Bridges committee <br />that the matter of purchacing the street maintainer from <br />A H Norris had been defered for the present. <br />Alderman Counts reported for the st. lighting committee <br />that the Officials of the Sou. W Bell Tel. Co. promised <br />~~' to submit ~~ figures s •howing the earnings of the company. <br />Alderman Counts reported that Mr. H 0 Clark of the Hou. <br />Lighting and Power Co • refused to donate the power for the <br />fire sirene but suggested that b y hooking it up with the <br />power line at the pumping plant the flat rate of ~5 00 <br />per month could be saved and the actual power used would <br />be charged at pumping power rate. <br />Alderman Ruff reported for the Sewer Committee that the <br />committee had not met to consider the matter of connections <br />to privately installed laterals. <br />NEW BUSI2IESS <br />Mayor A N Mc Kay presented the name of C J Wilson for the <br />ratification of the council, as Fire Marshal. The appoint- <br />ment was rattified unanimously. Alderman Counts Moved to <br />ratify. Z~,e motion was seconded by Alderman Ruff. <br />mayor D~Ic Kay asked the council to ratify his commissions <br />to S A Hatfield and Warren Anderson as deputy City Marshals <br />serving under E L Crane at Sylvan Beach Park. <br />Alderman Counts moved to ratify the commissions provided <br />the parties were satisfactory to City Marshal Santa Rosa. <br />The motion was seconded by Alderman Sahrp. <br />• Carried . <br />The proposition to run a line from the Fire Hall to the <br />pump plant for the sirene was refered to the Street Light- <br />ing Committee to get prices on the cost of same. <br />
