T-T Blair 2 50 <br />Texas Co. 2 85 <br />IJEw BUS"~I1ESS <br />Alderman Counts asked the council to consider the adoption of <br />"National Underwi°iters Electric Coder' <br />After considerable discussion a. motion was presented by Alderman <br />~"' counts and seconded by Alderman Ruff that the city adopt the <br />~~~ Code. Alderman Counts and Ruff voted yea. Aldermen Nall and <br />Sandel voted No. 1~2a.~TOr MclLay broke the tie with an affirmative <br />vote. The motion carried. <br />Alderman Counts offered a motion seconded by Alderman Ruff that <br />the Code become effective July 1,1932 and that Tvir . Hirschfield <br />be employed as inspector and that his term of emplo~rnent be <br />subject to the will of the council. <br />Carried. <br />A motion was presented by Alderman Ruff and seconded by Alderman <br />Sandel that the sewe~° corrunittee prepare specifications governing <br />sewer connections and call for bids. <br />Carried. <br />The cit:,r secretary presented a bill from jeweler Brecken for <br />t?~see dollars for repairs to a punch, clock which had been left <br />with him subject to the decision of the corr~mittee as to wr~ether <br />or not the repairs should be ordered. The repairs were r~.de by -~~~~~ <br />i~'fr. Brecken without authority. Alderman uYall made a motion <br />seconded by Alderman Ruff that the secretary be authorized to <br />offer TJfr. Brecken ~2 00 for the repairs of the clock and that <br />t?le clock be taken care of for future use, <br />Carried. <br />• Alderman Sandel offered a motion which was seconded by Alderman <br />Ruff that the city purchace a gas mask for :`620 00 for the use <br />of the Fire Dept. and First Add crew. <br />Carried. <br />
