7'Exp,e <br />RESOLUTION <br />fhb- bor-11 <br />X ?C 7C 7C <br />WHEREAS, the City of LaPorte finds it in the best interest of the citizens of LaPorte, <br />that the License Plate Reader Acquisition Project be acquired through a grant for the year <br />2013-2014. <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT: <br />1) The City of La Porte approves submission of the grant application for the License <br />Plate Reader Acquisition Project, via a law enforcement grant, to the Office of the <br />Governor, Criminal Justice Division. <br />2) The City of La Porte agrees that in the event of loss or misuse of the Criminal Justice <br />Division funds, the City of La Porte assures that the funds will be returned to the <br />Criminal Justice Division in full; and <br />3) The City of La Porte agrees that it will appropriate any matching funds in support of <br />the grant, if applicable; <br />4) The City of La Porte designates the City Manager as the grantee's authorized official. <br />The authorized official is given the power to apply for, accept, reject, alter or terminate <br />the grant on behalf of the applicant agency. <br />Signed by: <br />Author&)d Official <br />A ST: <br />City Secretary <br />
