The invocation was given by Councilperson Skelton. <br />3. Council considered approving the minutes of the regular <br />meeting of Council held May 9, 1988• <br />Motion was made by Councilperson Waters to nnrove_~h~_~Ia_Y._.9 <br />minutes as oresent d. Second by Councilperson Shipp. The <br />motion carried, 9 ayes and 0 nays. <br />Ayes: Councilpersons Waters, Cooper, Matuszak, Porter, Shipp, <br />Gay, Skelton, Clarke and Mayor Malone <br />Nays: None <br />4. Council considered approving the minutes of the special <br />meeting of Council held May 18, 1988. <br />Mot ~ o was made by Counc il,person S1te~ton to aR,nrove the Mav 18 <br />minutes as presented. Second by Councilperson Waters. The <br />motion carried, 8 ayes, 0 nays, 1 abstain. <br />Ayes: Councilpersons Waters, Cooper, Matuszak, Shipp, Gay, <br />Skelton, Clarke and Mayor Malone <br />Nays: None <br />Abstain: Councilperson Porter <br />5. The Mayor proclaimed June 6-11 as PBX/Telecommunicators Week. <br />Ms. Elaine Scott accepted the proclamation. <br />
