Johnson, J.H. Kerber,C.F. Norris, J.J. Roark, <br />C.R6. Agee came in a little later. Also present,City Atty.Kiibler,Secy. Lambly. <br />Bonds B1rx Shawell representing Ransom-Davis Co. appeared in the interest of re- <br />funding City of I,a Porte bJ Refunding Bonds. The City Council agreed to <br />consider the matter and advise Mr Shawell of their decision in a few days. <br />°llinutes of the last regular meeting of October 12th and Special meeting of <br />October 15th were read and approved. <br />tiVatchmen ".lotion by Norris, second by Agee, that the City employ six watchmen for <br />Halloween night @ X1.#..00 each and that the mayor and City Secretary be <br />authorized to issue the necessary warrants in payment of their services. <br />Carried. <br />ti~arrants Motion by Roark, second by Johnson, that the Mayor and City Secreta ry be <br />aL~thorized to issue warrants as follows: to lV.E. Tucker for labor X2.00, <br />to Esther Rader for assisting in the City Secretary's office during the <br />vacation of the Asst. Secy., X12.00 for 12 half days. Carried <br />P~dotion by Agee,second by Norris that schedule from Federal Reserve Bank be <br />placed on file. Carried <br />~Comunica- B4otion by P~oark, second by Johnson that communicatiohs from the League of <br />tions filed,exas It~~unicipalities in regard to the annual convention in Dallas be filed. <br />Carried. <br />Sewer Motion by Johnson,second by Agee, that the T+Rayor mail an estimate of the <br />Niissle cost of sewer extension to his property to C.J. Niissle. Carried. <br />Roofg Motion by Agee, second by Johnson, that the matter of re-roofing the Fire <br />Chief's quarters be turned over to the Building Committee to get estimates <br />and report to the next Council meeting. Carried. <br />'Roofing Motion by Agee, second by Johnson, that the repairing of the roof' on City <br />Building No.3, on Lots 20 ~: 21,Block 39,La Porte, be turned over to the <br />Building Committee to bring in estimates to the next Council meeting. <br />Carried. <br />'eater ':Motion by Norris, second by Agee, that the City Secretary be authorized <br />Bills to purchase 10,000 government post cards and have them printed for water <br />bills, that the Mayor and City Secretary be authorized to issue a tiVarrant <br />for X100.00 to cover the cost of the cards. Carried. <br />(,hlorine Motion by Agee, second by Norris, that the buying of one or more cases of <br />chlorine be turned over to the 4rater Committee with power to act. <br />Carried. <br /> <br />
