<br />lteetiag was galled to order by Mayer Ruff with the following
<br />Aldermen and City Offioials presents Ald. ~. D. Borgia, J. J.
<br />Roark, T. F. ~nith, J. H. Kerber, City Atty. ~iibler, City
<br />Seeretary Christensen.
<br />D~inutes of the last meeting were read and approved.
<br />Coa~mounioation Motion by Smith, seoond by Burgin, that the ocm~muniaation from
<br />State Fire- the State Firem,en's & Fire Marshals' Association stating that
<br />moms ~ Fire Chieg Frank Williams,. instruotor in the Firemen s Training
<br />Sohool would be in La Porte en April 3, 8s00 P. M. and in-
<br />Marshals' Assn'viting and urging that the City Ceunoil, Fire Chief and mom-
<br />, hers of the Dept. be present, be planed on file.

<br />Audit Bids The Mayor asked for the audit bids to be opened. Bids were
<br />opened and tabulated as followsa J. A. Phillips Co., $25.00
<br />per day and out of pocket expenses with providion that a gtegate
<br />oharge for serviae shall not exoeed $600.00, Mo Guire de ~zur,
<br />~35•~ per day for a 7 hr. day plus expenses of transportation
<br />and subsistenoe, seven hr. day to include traveling time between
<br />Houston and 1'a Porte each days T. J. Tapp, $150,00. Motion by
<br />Roark, seoond by Smith, that the auditing of the City Aoaounts
<br />be awarded to T. J. Tapp on his low bid of $150.00.

<br />Gonda ~ Int. Motion by Roark, second by Burgin, that„the Mayor and City
<br />Secretary be authorized to purohase by Warrant on the Interest
<br />and Sinking Bond Fund, New York Exchange in the amount of X6,380.00
<br />to retire ~-City of la Porte Refunding Bonds, Nos. 3 0, 31, 32 and
<br />33 ~ 1,000.00 and interest of $2,380.00 due J~pril 10, 19l~1.~. and
<br />exchange in amount of X15.95 from General Fund to oover the
<br />' oommissien ®f the Ma.m~faoturers Trust Co. of N. Y. for handling
<br />these Bonds, also that the Mayer and City Secretary be authorized
<br />to pay at the First National Bank of ~ Porte by warrant drawn
<br />oa the Interest & Sinking Sewer Funding-Bond Fund, Sewer Funding
<br />Bond ~ b, in the amount ®f X500.00 and Interest en Sewer Funding
<br />Bonds in am®unt of X170.00, due April 10, 191~1.~., also that the
<br />Mayer and City Seoretary be authorized to pay at the First Nat'l
<br />Bank of I,a Porte, the X1,000.00 Sewer Refunding Bond plus interest
<br />when due.

<br />Petty Aaots. Motion by Smith, seoond by Burgin, that the small balances due
<br />en Mater Aaeounts by persons who have left the City be trans-
<br />ferred to Petty Accounts, balances aggregating in the amount of
<br />ffi?3.19•
<br />Carried.
<br />Tower M©tion by Kerber, seoond by Smith, that the City ~aTe the Age
<br />serviae Co. paint the City tower with Aluminum paint, same as ----
<br />tank.
