The meeting was called to order by Mayor Cline at 9:35 P.M. <br />Members of City Council Present: Mayor Virginia Cline, <br />Councilpersons B. Don.Skelton, Linda Westergren, Norman Malone, <br />John Longley, Ed Matuszak, Lindsay Pfeiffer, <br />Members of City Council Absent: Councilpersons Deotis Gay, <br />Kevin Graves <br />Members of City Staff Present: City Manager Jack Owen, Assis- <br />tant City Attorney John Armstrong, City Secretary Cherie Black, <br />Director of Administrative Services Bob Herrera <br />Others Present: Arlene Arends, Bayshore Sun-Broadcaster; two <br />citizens <br />• The Mayor called Council's attention to the emergency addendum <br />item at their places at the Council table. <br />2. Council considered awarding a bid for ambulance units. <br />Motion was made by Councilperson Westergren to accept staff's <br />recommendation and award the bid for ambulance units to <br />Collins Ambulance Sales. Second by Councilperson Skelton. <br />The motion carried, 7 ayes, 0 nays. <br />Ayes: Councilpersons Skelton, Westergren, Malone, Longley, <br />Matuszak, Pfeiffer and Mayor Cline <br />Nays: None <br />Mayor Cline read a letter from Leola Mercado, complimenting the <br />Ambulance Corps for their prompt action when she had an emer- <br />gency recently. <br />3. Mayor Cline explained the emergency addendum, an ordinance <br />amending Ordinance 1405 which closed a portion of South 12th <br />Street, which erroneously retained a perpetual public utility <br />easement for the City. The agreement entered into between the <br />City and the owners of the property was that the City would only <br />retain a temporary easement until such time as the sewer line <br />• could be relocated. <br /> <br />
