<br />June '9, 1947 s 2 :00 P. M.
<br />Special meeting of the City Commission was called to order by Mayor Pfeiffer
<br />with the following members and officials 'present: Commissioner Jas. S.
<br />Crate, Jr, City Attorney Jno. S. Kiibler and City Clerk, J• T. Muldoon.
<br />Motion by Crate and second by Pfeiffer that the following resolution be
<br />adopted:
<br />BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of La Porte, Texas,
<br />that H. J. Pfeiffer, Mayor, be and he is hereby authorized, empowered and
<br />directed to do and perform any and all acts necessary to caanplete exeeutiam
<br />and delivery on behalf of the City of La Porte, Texas, of that certain
<br />Quitclaim Deed from the United States of America aoting by and through
<br />War Assets Administrator, dated June 1..~., 191.}.7, under the terms of which
<br />300 acres of land, more or less, and certain buildings, improvements,
<br />facilities and equipment therein described and designated (same being
<br />incident to and forming what is conunonly known and referred to as Ellington
<br />Auxiliary Landing Field No, 2, La Porte, Texas) were transferred and can-
<br />veyed to the City of La Porte, Texas
<br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED H. J. Pfeiffer, Mayor, is hereby authorized
<br />and directed to accept delivery of said Deed on behalf of the City of
<br />La Porte, Texas, and to do and perform any and all acts necessary to effect
<br />the recordation a~f such instrument.
<br />BE IT FURTF~R RESOLVED that the City of La Porte, Texas, grantee in
<br />said Deed, shall be ens is bound by all the terms and conditions therein
<br />set forth, and the City of La Port®, Texas, agrees to comply with each
<br />and all of such terms and conditions.
<br />The City Secretary is hereby authorized and instructed to deliver
<br />a certified copy of this Resolution to the War Assets Administrations
<br />27th Regional Office, Houstrq,~, Texas, and it is so resolved.
<br />I hereby certify that the above and foregoing is a true and
<br />correct copy of the Resolution passed by the City Council of the City
<br />of La Porte, Texas, at its m®eting he ld on the Jth day of June, 191.7, as
<br />the same .appears of record in the minutes of such meeting. I further
<br />certify that at such meeting there was a quorum present and voting.

<br />heretofore on the 3p day of ~june,191~., by resolution, prohibited parallel
<br />parking on South First and South Sec and Street and North First and Ncrth
<br />Second Streets from West Main to the first alley intersection of such
