J. <br />Pfeiffer, with the following members and pity officials presesnt: CoQruniss- <br />ianer Wm. P. Jonas, Supt. of Rxblie Works Raleigh ErRZn, John T. Ma Afee <br />and. ~'im. Man.ess, representing Wyatt C. Hedrick, City Engineer, Carl C. <br />Patrick, City Attorney, end J. E. Muldoon, City Clerk. <br />Mr. H. B. Harrison, Mrs. Lydia Stiles, et al, appeared before the Commission <br />in eonneotion with moving the publio library. They also requested the City <br />to install a toilet ate. furnish water gratis. The Commission advised this <br />oommittee they would ccnsidex their requests and would advise them. <br />Mr. L. I,. Hardin appeared before the Coaanissi.on and requested swne relief <br />in constructing water and sewer mains. in Block 266, I,s. Porte. <br />Moticez by Jc~.es, second. by Pfeiffer, authorizing the City Clerk to isswe a <br />cheok to George Consolidated Construction Company in the amrnmt of ~6,231.?5s <br />on sewer fob No. 3I~06, Rev. Estimate No. 1., and approved by Wyatt C. Hed- <br />riolc, City Engineer. <br />Carried. <br />Motion by Jomes, second by Pfeiffer, to award Ed Niles the acmtract for <br />construction of water mains, and setting of fire hydrants, same being for <br />labor aa:ly, on his bid opened May 3,.191.9. Hedrick, Arahitect~~ngineer, re- <br />quested the Co~nission to execute a new contract with his firm, as their <br />contract had expired in August, 191E8. <br />T~ Coamaission informed Mr. 1~c Afee they would consider the ccmtract and <br />advise hiin what action they would take:, at their next meeting. <br />
