<br />Regular meeting of the City Commission was called to order by P:layor H. J.
<br />Pfeiffer, with the following members and city officials present: Commissioners
<br />Jas. S. Crate, Jr., and tiVm. P. Jones, Carl C. Patrick, City Attorney, ti`um. Ivianess,
<br />representing i~'Vyatt C. Iledrick, City Engineer, Jas. %ic Cauley, Plumbing and Build-
<br />ing Inspector, and J. E. i~uldoon, City Clerk.
<br />I~Zinutes of the last meeting ~,vere read and approved.
<br />The Zvlayor ordered the bids opened and read aloud on •the 3000 bbl. Galvanized
<br />Bolted Steel Tank, whioh were advertised for February 9, 1950. The bids were
<br />opened and tabulated as follotivs:

<br />X5,000.00
<br />Motion by Crate, second by Jones, to accept Tyson Smithts bid and instructed the
<br />City Clerk to issue a purchase order for same.
<br />Carried.
<br />"Y'he City Clerk informed the Commission that the X5,000.00 they had authorized
<br />to be borrowed, July 29, 19l~.9, would be due February 10, 1950, with interest in
<br />the amount of ~p81.66, and that money was in the General Fund for same.
<br />P"lotion by Crate, second by Jones, authorizing the City Clerk to issue a check to
<br />The First National Bank of Ia Porte, for payment of note due. February 10, 1g50.
<br />Carried.
<br />'Phe City Clerk presented a bill from the General Services Administration, Bill
<br />No. B6-87-5p in the amount of X200.00, same being an advance oi' funds for plan
<br />preparation of an incinerator. =~'he Commission requested this matter be brought
<br />up at their next regular meeting.
<br />Ivlr . fan es s advised the Commission they could expo et map ordered pre pared by the
<br />City Engineer, ready by next regular meeting.
<br />I4.~. '+Ian.ess was asked for a figure in street plan preparation, and survey for
<br />curb and gutter from 'rdest Plain to B Street, on First, Second, 'lhird, Fourth
<br />and Fifth Streets. He estimated it 4vould cost from X800.00 to w~1,000.00.
