Pfeiffer, <br />tivith the followj.ng members and city officials pres-tint: Comms.ssioner ICI. D. .~urgin, <br />City Attorney Carl C. Patrick, Supt, of Public T`iork~,and City Clerk J. E. Muldoon. <br />IlZinutes of the last meeting ;~rere read and approved, <br />520 <br />i:~Iotion by Burgin, second by Pfeif:E'er, to reject a17.. bids on the fence opened July 5, <br />1951, except the Coastal Fence Company, and t o accept the bid of the Coastal Fena~e <br />Company in the amount of 2,667.0., add or deduct at ~~2.0~. per lineal foot, bill to <br />be paid upon completion of fence and approved by the Public ~"larks Supc~intendent. <br />Carried. <br /> <br />The Ia4ayor ordered the bids opened and read aloud on the construction of adaitions <br />to the sewage treatment plant, as acivertisdd for July l9, 1951. <br />The bids vrere opened and read as follrn^rs: <br />I~Zoore & I~Zoore - 70 calendar days <br />A. S, Koehler - 90 calendar days <br />Pyramid Const. Co.- 120 calendar days <br />- ~25~7~..00 <br />- 2~+, 950.00 <br />- 18,875.00 <br />The i:Iayor instructed the Public 1'~(orks Superint dent to tabulate the bids and have <br />ready for the next meeting. <br />The Commmission unanimously agreed to trait until Commissioner Jones returns before <br />further discussion on the additions to the sc^rage treatment plant. <br />The Commission instructed the City Clerk to arrange a meeting for than with Rex D. <br />Cross, representative of the San Antonio Pipe and Supply Company for July 23rd, at <br />5:30 P. I17., for discussion on equipment for the proposed water well. <br />The Commission unanimously approved Policy Sdo. 6 AC 8590, issued to IdIurrell A. Burg, <br />D. B. A, La Porte Taxicab Company. <br />I~Zotion by Burgin, second by Pfeiffer instructing the City Clerk to deduct :12.50 from <br />C. S. Dunhamts check for reason he t~ras off on vacation and Firemen~s School. <br />Carried. <br />The Co~:unission unanimously instructed the City Clerk to charge one-half of ice bill <br />to the Fire Department, and one-half to General Cont,~ol. <br />Carried. <br /> <br />
