<br />LA PORTE CITY CO~CSSION -MARCH 21, 1958

<br />Regular meeting of the City Commission was called to order by Mayor Pro-Tem
<br />H. P. Pfeiffer, with the following present: Commissioner L. R. Rigby, Special
<br />Counsel John S. Kiibler, and City Clerk Frank G. Baker.
<br />Also presez~'vras Mrs. Stabs (Press).
<br />Minutes of the last meeting were read and approved.
<br />Motion by Rigby, second by Pfeiffer, that the following Resolution be adopted:
<br />RESOLUTION
<br />WHEREAS, the City of La Porte, on April 25, A.D. 1950, filed a
<br />certain notice of assessment for stf~eet improvements a ainst Blocks No.
<br />One Hundred and Ninety-Nine (199) and Two Hundred (200 of the Torn of
<br />La Porte, Harris County, Texas, such notice being filed under Harris
<br />County Clerks s F3,1e No. 736l~36; and
<br />WI~EAS, the City of La Porte has not constructed the street
<br />improvements described in said notice a.nd does not intend to construct such
<br />improvements; and
<br />W~REAS, the City does not have or claim arty indebtedness and/or
<br />paving lien against said property;

<br />CITY ~' LA PORTE, TEXAS, THAT H. P. PFEIFFER, and Frank G. Baker, Mayor
<br />Pro-Tem and City Clerk of said City, respectively, be, and they are
<br />hereby, authorized and directed to execute, acknowledge, and have re-
<br />corded in the office of the County Clerk of Harris County, Texas, an
<br />instrument releasing any and all rights, titles, interests and/or
<br />claims z+rhich the City may have heretofore had under aril by virtue of the
<br />hereinab~ve ment9_oned notice of assessment for street improvement.
<br />AND IT IS SO ORDF~RED.
<br />A registered letter was requested to be written to Caleb Ashlock, advising
<br />him that wooden material on roof of building on Main Street must be covered
<br />with metal.
<br />Motion by Rigby, second by Pfeiffer, that Ordinazyce No. 533, be adopted as
<br />read. The caption of such adopted ordinance reads as follows:
