• • <br />MINiTTES - REGULAR MEETING <br />LA PORTE CITY COM[~SSION - JANUARY 6, 1961 <br />7:00 P. M. <br />Regular meeting of the City Commission was called to order by Mayor H. P. <br />Pfeiffer, with the following members present: Cos~issioners Brown, Stabs, & <br />Dunham (Osburn absent due to work), Supt. W.A.Arthur, Attorney C. L, Pitman <br />and City Clerk Frank G. Baker. <br />Also present were Mr. Cunningham with Century, Joe Camp, and Mrs, Brummerhop <br />and Jim Holley (Press). <br />Minutes of the last meeting were read and approved, <br />Carried. <br />Mayor Pfeiffer asked that the bids on police car be opened. <br />Motion by Dunham, second by Stabs, that the bids be turned over to Comte <br />issioner Stabs for tabulation. <br />Carried. <br />The bids were as follows: <br />Gunn Mc Dougal <br />Allowance Trade In <br />Jay Marks <br />Allowance Trade In <br />Joe Camp Motors <br />Allowance Trade In <br />X2,217.50 <br />400.00 <br />_ 1, i .50 <br />X2,408.27 <br />_ 375.00 <br />~'F, 0337 <br />X2,388.78 <br />435.00 <br />~~,9 3.7 <br />Mr. Cunningham talked to the Commission in regard to settlement of paving <br />contract, <br />6u <br />Motion by Stabs, second by Brown, that the purchase of pump for sewer disposal <br />plant, be ratified, X533.00. <br />Carried. <br />Motion by Stabs, second by Dunham, that Merle Thomas be employed for a <br />90 day period. As Police Patr®]snan~ salary to be ~ 325.00 per. Month. <br />Carried, <br />
