Pfeiffer, <br />Commissioners Frank Baker, W. A. Stabs, Jr., and Russell <br />Shepherd. <br /> <br />Osburn. <br />MEMBERS OF COMMISSION ABSENT: Commissioner Tom <br /> <br />OTHER CITY OFFICIALS PRESENT: C. L. Pitman, City <br />Attorney; Clovis D. Mann, City Cterk. <br /> <br />PRES10/NG: Mayor H. P. Pfeiffer. <br />The Commission convened in a Special Meeting at <br />7:00 p. m. February 10, 1964, for the purpose of a Public <br />Hearing to consider a proposed amendment to Ordinance No. <br />620, known as the Zoning Ordinance of the City of La Porte, <br />Texas. The proposed amendment reclassifies Block 82, Town <br />of La Porte, City of La Porte, Texas, from Class "C", Single <br />Family Dwelling District" fo "Class E - Apartment BuiCdings, <br />Duplexes and/or any other Multiple Owelltng District". <br />Notice of Public Hearing was published in the <br />"La Porte-Bayshore Sun", designated as the offictal news- <br />paper of the City of La Porte, on the dates of January 23, <br />1964; January 30, 1964, and February 6, 1964. Notices were <br />also mailed to all owners of property Iying within two hun- <br />dred (200) feet of Block 82. <br />Mayor Pfeiffer called the meeting to order and opened <br />the Public Hearing, inviting comments from the floor from <br />those in favor of the amendment. <br />The following persons spoke in favor of the amend- <br />ment: <br />Fred Westergren, Petitioner for the re-zoning. <br />/saac Gates, speaking for a committee of three. <br />Frank Boyle, Sr. <br />
