Ask ins, City Clerk <br />Marilyn Kelley, City Engineer H. Carlos Smith, and Superintendent <br />of Streets Clifford Ellis. <br />PRESIDING: Mayor Pfeiffer. <br />+ + + <br />9. Minutes of the regular meeting of February 6, 1967 were amended as <br />follows: <br />Item No. 3 - To read Ordinance No. 757, instead of Ordinance No. 756. <br />Minutes of the special meeting of February 8, 9967, were approved <br />as written. <br />+ + f <br />2. Mr. H. Carlos Smith requested that he be recognized as a vistor. <br />Mr. Smith presented a petition requesting that a referendum vote <br />on Public Housing be held. <br />After a lenghty discussion, Commissioner Stabs made a motion, seconded <br />by Commissioner Shepherd, that by Commission cation, a Referendwn <br />election be heia on Ar_rii ~/, Yyo, at the City Ha1Z, .from 7 A.M. to <br />7 P. N,. Motion carried. <br />+ + + <br />3. Mr. Robert Stephens discussed with tfie Commission the possibility <br />of representing the Ctty in their total tnsurance program. Mr. <br />Stephens was requested to present a written proposal at the next <br />regular meeting. <br />+ + + <br />4. East Texas Theatres, Inc. requested that they be allowed to place <br />a sign in the right-a-way at Fairlane and Highway 946. (See Exhibit <br />No. 9). A motion was made by Commissioner Stabs and seconded by <br />Commissioner Compton, that the request be rejected. Motion carried. <br />+ + + <br />
