Pfeiffer, Commtssioners <br />W. A. Stabs, Charles D. Boyle, Lois J. Compton, and Russell <br />Shepherd. <br />MEMBERS OF THE CCI~fISSICN ABSENT: None <br />OTHER CITY OFFICIALS PRESENT: City Attorney Knox W. Askins, City <br />Engineer H. Carlos Smith, and City Clerk Marilyn Kelley. <br />PRESIDING: Mayor Pfeiffer. <br />+ + + <br />7. The Corrrmission meet with representatives from the City of Morgon's <br />Point, City of Shoreacres and the City of Lomax, to discuss <br />ambulance problems. Reports were received from Brookhaven Inc., <br />and Superior Ambulance Service. A lenghtly general discussion <br />was held. <br />Mayor Pfeiffer recommended that the City accept the gift of <br />the /nternafional Ambulance from Arf Simpson Funeral Home, that <br />the City operate the Ambulance Service, and that the City <br />ask the other Cities for assistance. <br />Commissioner Boyle made a motion that the recommendation be <br />accepted. Commissioner Stabs seconded the motion, and it carried. <br />+ + + <br />2. A moticn was made by Commissioner Boyle and seconded by Commissioner <br />Compton, that the City Engineer be authorized to install flooring <br />in the Lab building at a cost of x'936.25. Motion carried. <br />+ + + <br />3. Commissioner Stabs made a motion, seconded by Commissioner Boyle, <br />that the fire hose bids be reconsidered, and that the purchase <br />of the hose be made from Art Simon. Motion carried. <br />+ + + <br />4. A motion was made by Commissioner Shepherd and seconded by <br />Commissioner Compton, that Dan Kennedy be authorized to attend <br />Swimming Pooi Operators School, April 28 and 29, in Austin. <br />Motion carried. <br />+ + + <br />
