P. Pfeiffer, Commissioners <br />W. A. Stabs, Jr., Lois J. Compton, Charles D. Boyle, and Bobby <br />J. Burgin. <br />MEMBERS OF THE CQ'~1MlSSlON ABSENT: None <br />OTHER CITY OFFlC/ALS PRESENT: City Clerk Marilyn Kelley, City Engineer <br />H. Carlos Smith, City Attorney Knox W. Askins. <br />PRESIDING: Mayor Pfeiffer. <br />+ + + <br />7. A motion was made by Commissioner Stabs, seconded by Commissioner <br />Boyle, and carried, that Ordinance No. 7S9 be passed on first <br />and final reading. <br />CAPTION: <br />AN ORDINANCE FOR THE PURPOSE OF REGULATING THE OPERATION OF <br />EMERGENCY AMBULANCES ON THE PUBLIC STREETS OF THE CITY OF <br />LA PORTS; REQUIRING AN EMERGENCY AMBULANCE PERMIT; PROVIDING <br />THAT APFL I CAT IONS FOR SUCH PER' ' l TS BE MADE TO THE C I TY CLERK OF <br />THE CITY OF LA PORTS; PROVIDING THAT ANY PERSON VIOLATING THE <br />TERMS OF THIS ORDINANCE SHALL BE DEEMED GUILTY OF A MISDEMEANOR <br />AND UPON CONV1CT10N SHALL BE FINED IN ANY SUM NCT TO EXCEED TWO <br />HUNDRED DOLLARS (,200.00) AND EACN DAY OF VIOLATION SHALL BE <br />DEEH;ED A SEPARATE OFFENSE; CGNTAINING A REPEALING PROVISION <br />AND A SEVERABILITY PROVISION; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE <br />HEREOF. <br />+ + + <br />2. Commissioner Boyle made a motion, seconded by Commissioner <br />Compton, that the City Clerk and Mayor write a letter to <br />the Harris County Commissioners Court, approving the request <br />from the Bonnor Estate, requesting that the East one-half of <br />Park Street, South of the Little Cedar Bayou be closed. <br />Motion carried. <br />+ + + <br />3. A motion was made by Commissioner Boyle, and seconded by <br />Commissioner Burgin, that the Storm Drainage in Section <br />N'o. 1, Brookglen, be approved as presented. Motion carried. <br />+ + + <br />
