Carlos Smith, and <br />City Clerk ~~arilyn Kelley. <br />PRESIDING: Mayor I=feiffer. <br />+ + + <br />1. Mayor Pfeiffer opened the meeting for a Public Hearing to consider <br />the possible re-zoning of Lot- 1 thru 29, 39 and 40, Block 204, <br />Town of La Porte, from, R2 Residential to Commercial, for the purpose <br />of expanding the Nursing Home. <br />Mr. Oscar E. Chambers, representing the Southwide Baptist Foundation, <br />presented the plans for expansion and further development of the <br />entire block. (See Exhibits 1 & 2). <br />Mayor Pfeiffer stated that the Commission would Like to have an <br />opportunity to study the request before taking action, but will <br />do so in the near future.. <br />There being no further discussion, the hearing was closed at 7:40 P.M. <br />+ + + <br />2. A motion was made by CommissionerBoyle, and seconded by Commissioner <br />"urgin, that the Mayor and City Clerk be authorized to sign a weed <br />iein release for Burt ~/heeier, et al. Motion carried. <br />+ + + <br />3. The City Clerk presented the following bids for the purchase of <br />traffic tickets: <br />Tom Ken Printers - 100 Books (2,500 Tickets) ,132.90 <br />200 Books (5,000 Tickets) 173.50 <br />Cargills -100 Books (2,500 Tickets) X155.75 <br />-200 Books (5,000 Tickets) 192.55 <br />
